Civil aviation minster Ashok Gajapathi said the country's civil aviation sector is growing leaps and bounds and also confirmed the statement of the government has passed the "In-principle" approval to 19 greenfield airports, of which some would be developed through Public Private Partnership (PPP). 

Some of the airports which are developed under the respective state governments are:- 

1. Mopa in Goa,

3. Bhogapuram and Dagadarthi in Andhra Pradesh,
4. Hasan in Karnataka,
5. Kannur in Kerala,
6. Dholera in Gujarat
