Four laning of Bahri-Koderma section of NH-31 in the state of Jharkhand on EPC mode (SYNOPSIS)

As India being the second largest road network across the world at 5.4 million km as road transportation has gradually increased over the years with the improvement in connectivity between cities, towns and villages in the country. 

PRIME MINISTER NARENDRA MODI has launched 4-laning of Barhi-Koderma Section of NH-31 from Km. 0.000 to Km. 27.500 in the State of Jharkhand under NHDP Phase-IV on EPC Mode as the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways intends to take the total of projects awarded in FY 2017-18 to 20,000 km and targets to award projects of 25,000 km in FY 2018-19. 

DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT HIGHWAY: - 

1. Development of Project Highway Development of the Project Highway shall include Design and Construction of the Project Highway as described in Schedule-B and in Schedule-C. 

2. Rehabilitation and augmentation (Four Laning) Four Laning shall include Widening and Reconstruction of Project Highway as described in Annex-I of Schedule-B and Schedule-C. 

3. Specifications and Standards The Project Highway shall be designed and constructed in conformity with the Specifications and Standards specified in Annex-I of Schedule-D.

SCOPE OF WORK: - 

The Contractor shall construct the Project Facilities in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. Such Project Facilities shall include: - 

• Toll plaza; 
• Roadside furniture; 
• Median Cuts 
• Street lighting; 
• Pedestrian facilities; 
• Landscaping & tree plantation; 
• Rest areas; 
• Truck lay-byes; 
• Bus-bays and bus shelters; 
• Development of site for wayside amenities; 
• Traffic aid posts; 
• Medical aid posts; 
• Vehicle rescue posts; 
• Telecom system and 
• Highway Traffic Management System
